REPRESENTASI MOTIVASI BELAJAR FISIKA PESERTA DIDIK SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merepresentasikan motivasi belajar fisika peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Atas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian survei dengan tipe Cross-Sectional Survey. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 247 orang peserta didik dari lima sekolah menengah atas di Kabupaten Kerinci. Data dikumpulkan dari sampel menggunakan kuesioner motivasi belajar yang terdiri atas 5 aspek yang meliputi: intrinsic motivation, self-determination, self-efficacy, career motivation, dan grade motivation. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan efect sizes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata motivasi belajar peserta didik perempuan lebih tinggi dari motivasi belajar peserta didik laki-laki dan motivasi belajar peserta didik laki-laki berbeda secara singnifikan dibandingkan dengan motivasi peserta didik perempuan. Selain itu, didasarkan pada aspek motivasi, ada 4 aspek motivasi (Career motivation, Self-determination, Self-efficacy, dan Grade motivation) yang menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar peserta didik laki-laki dengan peserta didik perempuan, sedangkan pada aspek intrinsic motivation tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan. Temuan penelitian ini merekomendasikan bahwa guru fisika harus mendesain pembelajaran fisika yang dapat memotivasi peserta didik dan memanimalisir perbedaan gender.
